about me

Welcome, sweet heart.

My name is Tanisha and I'm glad you found me! I am a Birmingham, Alabama transplant from Montgomery, wife to my husband Victor, mother to my son Xavier who waits for us in heaven, and owner of a sweet and crazy tortie cat named Calliope. I have experience as a marriage and family therapist and adjunct college instructor, but for now I've taken a step back from working full time as we set our intentions on growing our family.

It is my aim to use this space as a haven for doubt and questions as we wrestle with beliefs about God, his sovereignty over all, and a source of support. I pray my words become reservoir of grace and peace for those who find themselves walking down similar paths of hardship and suffering. For me, that path has included trying to conceive while dealing with PCOS and infertility, getting pregnant and losing my son at 21 weeks gestation, living life after infant loss, and everything in between. I like to think of this blog like breadcrumbs in the snow--a tiny but hope-filled trail to help you remember you are never alone.

As you read, I highly encourage you to curl up on your couch or in your favorite recliner with a mug of tea or coffee. Relax on your back porch with a glass of wine and your favorite stinky cheese and crusty bread. Get cozy. You can rest here.

Loving you fiercely,
T.
